'Beekeeper', from Dunedin duo Triumphs

Name: TRIUMPHS (Mat Anderson and John Bollen)
Age: Two years.
Hometown: Dunedin.
Sounds like: Treacle climbing a mountain.
Musical Guilty Pleasure:
Mat:
Listening to Bolt Thrower back to back with DJ Shadow, variation is king.
John: Dodgy German rap from the mid 00's - poisonous stuff.
Formative Musical Experience:
Mat:
I had to learn 'Seven Nation Army' when I was 12 for music class. Got me hooked on hitting the things, so my parents got me a drum kit and I would get home from school and play for hours, with a careful gap from 6-7pm for the news. My parents and neighbours were the real MVPs. Met John at high school, we both liked to play loud. Shared knowing glances and an uneasy silent communion followed.
John: Hearing Godsmack on the Scorpion King soundtrack, been hooked on 'the good stuff' ever since.
