An education expert from Chile says charter schools will not set Maori up to succeed. A coalition wants to build a Manuka honey industry driven by Maori with the aim of increasing employment for rural tangata whenua on tribal land where Manuka trees grow. A Taranaki Maori land owner of an award-winning farm wants tribal descendants to know about the land's history, not just its success. Manukau Inistitute of Technology's performing arts student will, for the first time, perform at an inner city Auckland theatre tonight for the first time.
