Aftershocks continue to rattle Aotearoa

Since the big quakes there have been 800 aftershocks. Since midnight there at least a dozen have been above magnitude 4, and about half of those have been classified as strong. Most have been centred 10 to 20 kilometres east of the Marlborough town of Seddon, but several strong aftershocks have struck close to the centre of Kaikoura. And three quakes categorised as severe struck last night, measuring as high as 5.8.
