Fire crews return to Matakana fire scene

Auckland's principal rural fire officer Brian Cartelle says there have been no flare ups overnight at Matakana but he will not be able to declare the fire totally out until thermal imaging of the area has been carried out. At one stage yesterday 70 firefighters and three helicopters were battling the fire on Wright's Road
