Domestic violence leave bill passes unanimously

"If you want to know when the women of New Zealand will be safe, its when the men of New Zealand respect them and stop beating them". Justice Minister Amy Adams says while the Government still has concerns about a bill guaranteeing victims of domestic violence up to 10 days paid leave, the bill was worth further discussion. It has unanimously passed its first reading.
