Efforts to mediate before reaching Family Court 'not working'

The Family Dispute Resolution Service was supposed to help estranged parents - with the help of a mediator - reach agreement on things like custody arrangements without having to set foot into court. But Michelle Duggan, who chairs the Law Society's family law section, says the current system is difficult to access and expensive.
