New measure of Whanau Ora programme gives shows its worth

A new way of measuring whether Maori social programmes are value for money shows one such programme has almost doubled the return for each government dollar it received. The West Auckland youth programme, Waipareira Tai Tamariki, has been the guinea pig for a programme that puts a monetary value on things like increased self confidence, rather than the more usual benchmarks.
