US health policy expert calls for NZ DHB cuts

A US health policy expert says New Zealand has too many district health boards, each focused on their own financial success. Colorado Health Institute vice-president Amy Downs visited this year as a guest of the Treasury. She says 20 DHBs is at least ten too many, and the number of Primary Health Organisations should be slashed too.
