Hamilton's downtown free parking a revitalisation effort

Hamilton is going to trial free parking for two hours in the central city in an effort to revitalise the city centre. Also in the pipeline are a proposal to give the city's main square a makeover and a new public space opening the city up to the river. It comes as surburban retail precincts are grabbing a greater share of shoppers' dollars.
