Auckland Council calls on govt to fix teacher shortage

Auckland Council says it will demand the next government to do more to fix the city's teacher crisis after local principals begged for help. Mayor Phil Goff says the principals came to the council in desperation and it will put together an action plan before the new government is sworn in. Principals say they have been struggling to find enough good teachers because of a combination of high house prices, traffic congestion and population growth.
