NZ First forestry plan backed by Northland iwi

From Morning Report, 8:53 am on 4 October 2017

Northern iwi are welcoming New Zealand First's call to re-establish a Forestry Service saying they see potential for new jobs and an opportunity to take control back of their lands. New Zealand First has found support in Labour's Northern Maori MPs Kelvin Davis and Peeni Henare who say the sale of raw logs overseas brings little benefit to the Maori who own the very ands the logs are harvested from. RNZ's Maori Issues Correspondent Mihingarangi Forbes reports.
