Teachers brace to fight new govt for pay rises

The primary teachers' union says all options, including strike action, are on the table unless there are big changes in teachers' pay rates and working conditions. Collective agreements for primary teachers and principals expire next year and the Education Institute says teachers won't accept one-or-two-percent pay rises. It says teachers are at the end of their tether, struggling with high workloads and the under-resourcing of New Zealand schools. Paul Goulter is the National Secretary for the union, and joins us.
