Road toll rise not caused by lack of fixed cameras - AA

As the road toll continues to rise, police have confirmed most of the country has been without fixed speed cameras for more than a year. There are 18 fixed cameras operating at present but they are all in either Auckland and Wellington.

Police Association president Chris Cahill says the revelation is concerning. But AA motoring affairs general manager Mike Noon tells us police on the roads are more effective.
