Beneficiaries should know entitlements, CAB says
The Citizens Advice Bureau wants Work and Income to show greater openness in the way it decides what beneficiaries are entitled to. The bureau's social policy adviser, Jayne McKendry, says in the year to June, more than 7,000 people asked it for help with income support applications. She says Citizens Advice Bureaus around the country report some Work and Income offices aren't very helpful in telling beneficiaries what information they need, to get what they are entitled to. The CAB's social policy adviser Jayne McKendry joins us to discuss the issue.
