Kiwi Hub app overloads Auckland Transport system

Weeks of trouble for Auckland's public transport website have been linked to the Kiwi Hub smartphone app, in which thousands of travel card users had given login details. Auckland Transport says it spent tens of thousands of dollars before finding its IT system was being overloaded by the app. The council agency is feeling grumpy and the software engineer behind the app, a little red-faced. RNZ's Auckland correspondent Todd Niall has the details.
