Cooks MP saves young kiwis in dramatic drowning rescue

A Cook Islands MP who saved three children on holiday from New Zealand from drowning says his village is lucky not to be mourning their deaths. The sisters had gone swimming at a popular jetty and were swept into deeper water by the current. The MP for Ngatangiia, Tamaiva Tuavera, was at a nearby boat ramp cleaning fish when the drama unfolded.
