Marutuahu Collective responds to Court of Appeal ruling

The Court of Appeal has rejected Ngati Whatua Orakei's bid to stop land they say is in their rohe being given to another iwi as part of a treaty settlement. The Ngati Whatua Orakei Trust says it's now likely to take its case against the Crown to the Supreme Court arguing the current approach to overlapping claims is a fundamental breach of tikanga and the hapu's treaty rights.
