Eastland Wood Council plans onsite training scheme

While the Government considers programmes to get young people in the regions off the dole and into work, one business says it has a model that's already proven a success. The Eastland Wood Council is a forestry industry collective in Gisborne and Wairoa and says it wants to kick-off a scheme to give on-site training while paying trainees a wage. Prue Younger is the chief executive, and discusses what she'd like to see happen.
