Target aims to get women lawyers more high profile cases & positions
Some of the country's biggest law firms - and their clients - have signed up to a plan to get women lawyers more high-profile cases and positions. Although half of all lawyers are women, they are under-represented in senior positions. Under the new policy, law firms and their clients will aim to have women lawyers take the lead on at least thirty-percent of major cases. Sarah Keene is a partner at the law firm Russell McVeagh and has been involved in the policy's development. She tells Kim Hill how the plan will work.
