AA welcomes Commerce Commission petrol prices study

From Morning Report, 6:13 am on 7 December 2017

A briefing to the Government made public yesterday says New Zealanders pay the highest petrol prices in the developed world, before tax. Energy Minister Megan Woods has ruled out direct intervention to set prices, but says the Government will fast-track a plan to allow the Commerce Commission to carry out a full investigation into fuel pricing. Mark Stockdale from the Automobile Association tells RNZ's Craig McCulloch he welcomes the prospect of a full inquiry.
