Govt 'downplaying expectations' on cannabis bill

From Morning Report, 7:16 am on 20 December 2017

A campaigner for medicinal cannabis says the government is downplaying expectations on its bill, which will come before Parliament today. Health Minister David Clark says the legislation is as broad as possible while still having the numbers to pass it. Medicinal Cannabis campaigner Shane Le Brun says if patients still have to go doctor-shopping to get clearance to use it, the law change will be a disappointment. He told me a little earlier that apart from growing our own products in New Zealand, which would be the cheaper option, there's a few legal options to protect users.
