Dodgy petrol causes grief as fuel gauges go awry

From Morning Report, 6:35 am on 23 January 2018

An Auckland man believes dodgy fuel sold by petrol companies before Christmas damaged the fuel gauge of his family car. Kaukapakapa local, Luke, says his Chrysler's fuel gague broke two weeks ago, but he only found out through media reports yesterday that it could have been due to fuel found to have elevated levels of sulphur that was sold by BP, Z and Mobil in November and December. Luke says he buys all his fuel at Z, and it should have done more to alert its customers about the issue.
