Brazil ex-President Lula da Silva sentenced for corruption

Brazil's former President Lula da Silva is on trial for corruption his sentencing is today. Despite being convicted of corruption and money-laundering Mr Lula is hoping to win another term as president at elections on 7 October. The ruling could prove vital to Brazil's political future.
