Bathurst OIO refusal a concern - Straterra mining
Mining industry body Straterra is concerned Land Information minister Eugenie Sage has set a precedent by blocking a mining company from buying land on the West Coast. Bathurst Resources owns the mining permit for the Sullivan Mine for the next ten years and wanted to buy the land itself. But Ms Sage vetoed the sale despite a recommendation by the Overseas Investment Office that Bathurst's application be approved. Straterra's chief executive Chris Baker discusses with Guyon Espiner.
