Waikato hospital reviews face masks for un-immunised staff

Waikato District Health Board is re-assessing a contentious policy requiring un-immunised staff to wear a mask when treating patients. The policy was brought in by the former DHB chief executive Nigel Murray, who resigned in October amid a furore over his spending in the role. The new chief executive Derek Wright told our health correspondant Karen Brown he's seeking advice on whether the masks are necessary.
