Crowds march to keep charter schools

Students, parents and teachers of charter schools marched through central Auckland yesterday to protest against government plans to shut them down. Education Minister Chris Hipkins is planning a law change to stop new charter schools opening, and potentially close existing by the end of the year. The rally was organised by ACT leader David Seymour, who was responsible for their introduction.
