Former Defence Minister, police officer and war zone security consultant Mark Mitchell has confirmed he will contest the National Party leadership. Mr Mitchell is said to be a popular figure within the caucus but he admits he hasn't worked up his public profile in the media as much as his rivals Judith Collins, Simon Bridges or Amy Adams. He joins Guyon Espiner in the studio to discuss why he should lead the party.
