Rare long-tailed bat found in West Auckland

If you live near Auckland's Waitakere Ranges, you might be surprised to discover one of New Zealand's rarest creatures living in your backyard. For four nights, a team of bat experts and volunteers has been camping out in the bush, trying to catch and tag some native long-tailed bats to find out more about where they're going. RNZ reporter Sarah Robson went with them this week Mon night to see if they could find some of the elusive flying mammals.
