Unique state housing high rise to be demolished

A large and architecturally unique state housing high-rise in central Auckland is set to be demolished. Number 139 Greys Avenue was built in 1957 to house 87 tenants but Housing New Zealand says with its leaking roof and decaying structure, its time is up. Housing NZ says a 'world class' development will take its place.
