Grand High Court building throws open doors to public

From Morning Report, 8:40 am on 9 March 2018

Some of New Zealand's most famous cases took place in the grand Victorian court room one at the High Court in Auckland which this month celebrates its one hundred and fiftieth birthday.

On Saturday the beautifully carved kauri doors will be thrown open to the public as part of the sesquicentenial celebrations. Our court reporter Edward Gay was shown around the building by Justice Moore and court manager Nana Matenga.
