Bates passes 4000 runs as White Ferns beat West Indies

From Morning Report, 6:17 am on 12 March 2018

The White Ferns have swept the West Indies 3-0 in the one day international cricket series, after an impressive 205 run win at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. During the match, captain Suzie Bates surpassed 4000 ODI runs, only the second New Zealand woman to achieve the feat after Debbie Hockley. Bates says it took her a while to find her ODI rhythm. Both sides will now head north for a five-match T20 series starting Wednesday in Tauranga.
