Trump sacks Tillerson, replaces with Pompeo

President Trump has sacked his Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, replacing him with the CIA director, Mike Pompeo. In a terse tweet, Mr Trump thanked Mr Tillerson for "his service". US media are reporting that Mr Tillerson hadn't been told in advance and had every intention of staying on due to the dramatic developments in North Korea. But, speaking to reporters as he prepared to board a helicopter, Mr Trump said he and Mr Tillerson had been discussing the issue for a while.
