Yet another plan for Auckland America's Cup unveiled

Yet another plan for the America's Cup was unveiled yesterday. This fourth plan drops a planned extension of Hobson Wharf, creates more space on land at Wynyard Point, and has a 45-metre extension of the Halsey Street Wharf. Minister for Economic Development David Parker says the latest plan is the cheapest of four options at $140 million. It's being cautiously welcomed by Team New Zealand. But others are not so impressed. Michael Goldwater is a spokesperson for the lobby group 'Stop Stealing Our Harbour'. He tells Guyon Espiner a rugby field-sized concrete platform in the harbour is not good.
