Hamilton dairy installs security cage after violent attack
The owner of a Hamilton dairy has installed a metal cage at the entrance to his shop after an attack last month left him with a fractured skull and cuts to his hands. The two attackers, wielding a machete, fled from Emm Jay dairy in Hamilton East with money and cigarettes. Owner Sandip Patel has owned the shop for five-and-a-half years and says he feels much safer after installing the cage on Friday. He speaks to Guyon Espiner.
