Hit & Run: Hager, Stephenson welcome inquiry

One of the authors of the book Hit and Run is over the moon the government has launched an inquiry into its allegations. Nicky Hager and Jon Stephenson claimed innocent Afghan civilians were killed in a botched raid led by New Zealand's elite SAS soldiers in 2010 and that the incident was covered up by the military. The Attorney General David Parker says the public needs to have confidence in the Defence Force, and an inquiry is warranted.
