Bowel cancer screening errors: What went wrong?

Health officials have taken months to work out that thousands of people were left out of a life-saving cancer screening programme by mistake. The Health Ministry revealed on Tuesday that up to 15,000 eligible people in Waitemata had not been invited for screening in pilot programme for bowel cancer. More than 30 of them had developed the cancer. In February officials thought there were only 2,500 people caught up in the address botch-up. Health correspondent Karen Brown joins us to explain what went wrong.
