Commonwealth free trade deal 'not going to happen' - McClay

The idea of a Commonwealth-wide free trade deal has been floated during discussions between the 53 member nations at their biennial talks in London this weekend. Foreign Minister Winston Peters is talking up the prospects of such a deal, but the government's main focus remains on negotiations with the UK and the EU. RNZ reporter Nita Blake-Persen spoke to National's trade spokesman and former trade minister Todd McClay about whether he thinks a Commonwealth trade deal would get off the ground.
