PSA 'disappointed' in Jones' bureacracy comments

From Morning Report, 7:50 am on 26 April 2018

New Zealand First Cabinet Minister Shane Jones says politicians need more control over the state sector. By law, state sector workers must be politically neutral. But Mr Jones says the government bureaucracy is like treacle and needs to speed up. He told Stuff he wants to "soften the line" between governance and bureaucracy, and would like ministers to be able to appoint people to senior roles to get things done more quickly. Glenn Barclay is the national secretary of the Public Service Association. He tells us ultimately, he's disappointed in the comments.
