Education system 'needs to change' - summit

Nearly 800 people shared their goals for the education system at a weekend event aimed at helping the government develop a vision for the future of education. The education summit in Christchurch generated calls for greater inclusion of Maori and Pasifika students, and more attention to skills and abilities that lie outside traditional subject areas. Leadership consultant Chris Jansen, told our education correspondent, John Gerritsen, many schools are going well, but the system needs to change.
