Mycoplasma bovis slaughters not needed - Keith Woodford
The government will decide by Monday whether or not to slaughter all cows infected with mycoplasma bovis. Three-hundred herds across New Zealand are in lockdown. Agriculture Minister Damien O'Connor has called the situation "a disaster". But Honorary Professor at Lincoln University Dr Keith Woodford tells Guyon Espiner elsewhere in the world "they manage it without these slaughter programmes. We need to be doing the same."
