Police chases: Teens can't think like adults - psychologist
A clinical psychologist says police shouldn't be surprised when teenage offenders flee from them in cars at high speed. Last week a 15-year-old boy being chased by officers in Palmerston North crashed and was killed, along with a 12-year-old female passenger. Yesterday on Morning Report, lawyer Deborah Manning said people shouldn't run from police but when they do, police need to act like adults and not automatically chase them. Clinical pyschologist Dougal Sutherland speaks to Alex Perrottet.
