East Coast flood: 'Logs come down, whole fence goes' - farmer

The East Coast looks like it may miss out on more forcast heavy rain on Tuesday. River levels are still high and more than 20 families spent Monday night with family and friends. Monday's big downpour caused widespread flooding, cut power and closed roads. Mike Parker is a famer in the Tolaga Bay region. There's been a huge amount of slash (debris from forestry that comes down from hills in heavy rain) he says. "Big logs come down, it's a domino effect, the whole fence just goes, it's very soul-destroying."
