Lake Tekapo a tsunami risk in quake - study

A hi-tech study of Lake Tekapo has revealed the risk of a tsunami in an earthquake. NIWA marine geologist Dr Joshu Mountjoy led the pilot project to map the floor of the lake using sonar. Dr Mountjoy says there has been a pile up of sediment in the lake, which makes the steep sides of the lake and the mountains next to it prone to collapse. He talked to Sophia Duckor-Jones.
