New Caledonia crows learn to use tools
New Caledonia crows are able to make tools by remembering what's worked for them before. It's known the clever crows can make basic stick tools but it's not been clear until now if they learnt from other crows or improved their designs by themselves over time. One of the researchers, Alex Taylor from the University of Auckland, talks to Guyon Espiner.
