Law Society welcomes Russell McVeagh review

From Morning Report, 7:15 am on 6 July 2018

Law firm Russell McVeagh had a culture of excessive drinking when sexual misconduct allegations arose in 2015 and 2016, an independent review has found. Dame Margaret Bazley, who led the review, announced the findings on Thursday. Justice Minister Andrew Little says the sexual misconduct at Russell McVeagh puts the entire law profession on notice. New Zealand Law Society president Kathryn Beck says the report is another indictment on the culture that has been allowed to quietly grow in the New Zealand legal profession. She talks to Jane Patterson.
