Dementia one of the least understood diseases in NZ

New research suggests that although dementia is the most feared disease in New Zealand after cancer, it's also one of the least understood. A joint study by dementia experts and care providers has revealed more than 20 percent of people think the disease is just a natural part of aging. That's one of the misconceptions that Dementia New Zealand wants to correct. Its chief executive, Paul Sullivan, explains the details with Susie Ferguson.
