No hiding online for sexual offenders - Stop Demand

From Morning Report, 7:40 am on 19 September 2018

Child advocacy group Stop Demand is welcoming the prison sentence given to multi-millionaire sexual offender Martin Henry Lawes. The group believes the jail term will act as a deterrent to other abusers who might think they can hide behind false identities online. Lawes is a former Takapuna Community Board chair and a Justice of the Peace. He was sentenced to four and-a-half years in prison for three charges of dealing with children for sexual exploitation and importing and possessing pictures and videos of children being sexually abused. Denise Ritchie is a barrister and founder of Stop Demand. She talks to Susie Ferguson.
