Mike Joy welcomes swimmable rivers across NZ pledge

A new government plan is aiming at healthy, swimmable rivers and lakes throughout the country within five years. Environment Minister David Parker released a blueprint for improving water quality yesterday. Freshwater ecologist Dr Mike Joy has been a strong critic of the country's water quality. Now he is a member of the new science and technical advisory group announced along with the plan yesterday. He talks to Guyon Espiner.
