Jami-Lee Ross saga a 'new low' - Winston Peters

From Morning Report, 6:37 am on 19 October 2018

Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters says the Jami-Lee Ross saga represents a new low in New Zealand politics. And he says it raises serious questions about whether people can buy their way into New Zealand politics. In a now public phone call between Mr Ross and National leader Simon Bridges, the pair discuss a $100,000 donation and then talk about a relation of the donor going through National's candidates school with a view to becoming an MP. Mr Peters spoke to reporters at Parliament on Thursday and was asked if $100,000 was the price of a National Party candidacy.
