Law firm offers staff extra six-week paid parental leave

A partner at one of New Zealand's top Maori law firms says she's proud its now offering six weeks paid parental leave on top of the 22 weeks staff are already entitled to by law. The policy is one of many initiatives Kahui Legal has committed to as part of its new gender equality charter. The firm's sole female partner, Kiri Tahana, told Te Aniwa Hurihanganui the policy will alleviate the stress and struggle faced by working parents.
